A non-fiction book by and for people with the clichéd attention deficit disorder. In simple terms, therapist Hannah Schmidtpott explains from the ground up what it is all about, how it is diagnosed and how those affected can live with it and learn to deal with it.
The subject of ADHD is still associated with persistent prejudices. Isn't it just children who have it? Is the boy just fidgety? Do you always have to take medication straight away? This book not only does away with the clichés, but is also explicitly aimed at those affected. It gives an overview of the psychological basics and everyday challenges, but also encourages, provides numerous tips and focuses in its overall design on making it easier for people with short attention spans and/or dyslexia to access.
The chapter on relationships is not the only thing that makes it a perfect guide for partners and relatives.
